It’s Player’s Weekend, and the Blue Jays are playing the Phillies for the second time this year. The Phillies have been slightly slumping, and haven’t won a series since they swept the Marlins in four games to start the month. They also gave up 24 runs to the Mets a week ago. The Jays took two out of three when they played in Philly earlier this season.
Old friend Aaron Loup will be making his first trip back to the Rogers Center as a non-Jay.
Apparently Troy Tulowitzki is in town, but just for a visit.
It sounds like the kids will keep playing while they are here. Sadly, this means we will get to see less of the Grandyman:
John Gibbons spoke to Curtis Granderson to let him know to expect fewer starts going forward. #BlueJays want to play the likes of McKinney, Hernandez, Grichuk, Pillar in OF

There’s also this news about tomorrow:
Aaron Sanchez will start Saturday for the #BlueJays with Danny Jansen behind the plate.

Here are tonight’s lineups. Lourdes Gurriel will look to continue his record breaking multi-hit streak tonight batting leadoff. Russell Martin will catch for Ryan Borucki, depriving me of all the #JanBo moments.
