GameThread Game #129: Phillies at Blue Jays

New, comments
MLB: Philadelphia Phillies at Toronto Blue Jays Kevin Sousa-USA TODAY Sports

The Jays are going for the series win against the Phillies behind Aaron Sanchez, who is making his first start off the DL. The Phillies will counter with Canadian Nick Pivetta, who is 7-10 on the season with a ERA. When he pitched against the Blue Jays earlier this year in Philly, he gave up 2 earned runs on 4 hits over 5 innings.

In the least surprising of news, Gibbons doesn’t expect Troy Tulowitzki to make a return this season. Sad face.

Gibbons also commented on García’s DFA:

Here are the lineups for today. McKinney moves back up to the lead off spot, Teoscar is gets the start in left field, Diaz plays 3rd and Danny Jansen will catch for Aaron Sanchez.

Today's Lineups
