The Arizona Fall League preliminary rosters were released yesterday and we found out that the Blue Jays were sending Bo Bichette, Cavan Biggio, and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. as their three position players, with Biggio listed as an outfielder. We saw a couple of surprises on the pitching side (well, all three would be Surprise Saguaros, I guess) in that Jackson McClelland is returning to the AFL for the second year and minor league veteran Shawn Morimando was selected. There is also an expectation that the Blue Jays’ seventh player would be Nate Pearson, should he be healthy enough to pitch.
We’ll be talking about the AFL, discussing the Blue Jays’ Pitcher of the Year awardees, previewing the Blue Jays’ affiliates’ postseason outlook, and more on today’s Around The Nest minor league podcast hosted by Jesse Goldberg-Strassler!
Around The Nest is a live podcast and is back at 4 pm ET today. An archived copy is also available for download at the same link at the conclusion of the show.

Here is this week’s description from Jesse:
End of season All-Star lists and awards are out, and there are two notables worth noting: Vancouver’s Josh Winckowski was voted the 2018 Northwest League Pitcher of the Year, while Dunedin’s Patrick Murphy took home the 2018 Florida State League Pitcher of the Year. Plus, we’ll talk about the players heading to the Arizona Fall League, Ryan Noda’s latest milestone, the Bisons wrapping things up on the road, and the playoffs just around the corner, on the latest edition of Around the Nest!
