Tuesday Bantering: Aaron Sanchez has surgery

And today’s lineup

This happened faster than I thought it would. Aaron Sanchez has surgery on his finger today, he’s done for the season but will be ready to go by spring training. Hoping he can have an injury free 2019. He deserves it.

Lourdes Gurriel is also done for the season after the hamstring injury yesterday.

Marco Estrada has been a class act throughout his time with Jays:

I don’t know what’s going to happen next year, but I gave them a quick thank you. They’ve always been behind me. They’ve been the greatest fans ever. Hopefully it’s not my last one. But if it is, I’m thankful for everything that the fans have given me. For their support. I love it here. I love Toronto.

If someone could go back in time to the day of the Lind/Estrada trade and tell me I’m going to be very happy was the deal, I’d appreciate it.

We have 6 rookies in today’s lineup, including an all-rookie outfield.
