GameThread Game #161: Blue Jays at House of Horrors

World Series: Philadelphia Phillies v Tampa Bay Rays, Game 1 Photo by Doug Pensinger/Getty Images

Tonight’s game is the last one John Gibbons will officially manage, as Russell Martin has been assigned the task for tomorrow’s game.

We can’t say we haven’t been entertained this year.

If you are #teamtank, the Jays are tied with the Giants and could use a loss today. A win would support my new theory that the Baby Jays are exempt from the curse of the Trop.

And then there’s this:

Here’s today’s lineup. Looks like the youngest we’ve had all season. Anthony Alford finally gets a start, Jon Berti will lead off (as he did in the Eastern League championship games), and we will get our usual #JanBo battery.

Today's Lineups

Jon Berti - 2B Mallex Smith - CF
Jonathan Davis - CF Tommy Pham - LF
Aledmys Diaz - 3B Willy Adames - SS
Randal Grichuk - DH C.J. Cron - 1B
Rowdy Tellez - 1B Brandon Lowe - 2B
Teoscar Hernandez - LF Carlos Gomez - RF
Danny Jansen - C Austin Meadows - DH
Richard Urena - SS Jesus Sucre - C
Anthony Alford - RF Andrew Velazquez - 3B
