Who would you bet on to be the next Blue Jays manager?

MLB: Tampa Bay Rays at Toronto Blue Jays Dan Hamilton-USA TODAY Sports

Jon Heyman wrote that the Blue Jays and John Gibbons will be coming to a parting of the ways after the season.

While nothing’s set in stone, one person familiar with the thinking of both parties, said it was “99.9 percent done” that the Jays would hire a new manager next season. Gibbons and GM Ross Atkins are said to have spoken multiple times about the plans, so sources say this would not come as a surprise to Gibbons.

I think we all knew that was very likely. I’m sure they would prefer the news not get out (and I’m imaging that this will be a large part of today’s press conference that Mark Shapiro will be doing this afternoon).

I got an email giving Vegas odds on who will be the next Jays managers from Bodog.

Eric Wedge 1/1

Sean Casey 15/2

DeMarlo Hale 15/2

John McDonald 15/2

John Schneider 15/2

Victor Martinez 19/2

Craig Breslow 11/1

John Farrell 14/1

Joe Girardi 14/1

Mike Matheny 14/1

Stubby Clapp 16/1

John Farrell?? If he is the next manager, I’m out. Beyond that, I’ve no real idea, but I wouldn’t bet on Wedge, mostly cause the 1/1 odds make it worthless to put my money there. But I don’t see him as being such a favorite.
