There’s only room in the 6ix for one Drake.
I’m sorry, I’m sorry.
Oliver Drake, one of the few players to have ever been claimed on waivers twice by the Jays, was DFA’d a few days ago when the Blue Jays acquired Clayton Richard from the Padres.
As a reminder, here was Oliver Drake’s journey last year:

5/2: Brewers DFA
5/5: Traded to Cleveland
5/26: Cleveland DFA
5/31: Angels claim
6/16: Angels DFA, outrighted
7/6: Called up
7/23: Angels DFA

7/30: Jays DFA
8/3: Twins claim
11/1: Rays claim
11/20: Rays DFA
11/26: Jays claim

Instead of being claimed on waivers this time, he was traded to the Tampa Bay Rays for cash considerations.
The team will now have a much tougher roster decision to make if they need another 40-man spot, as he was the last obvious player to go.
Who do you think is the new 40th man on the Jays’ roster?
Also, Troy Tulowitzki passed his physical (?!) and is now officially a New York Yankee.
The @Yankees today announced that they have signed SS Troy Tulowitzki to a one-year Major League contract.
