Let’s do a prediction contest for the Wild Card Games.
Tonight we have the Brewers visiting the Nationals. Brandon Woodruff (11-3, 3.62) starts for the Brewers. Max Scherzer (11-7, 2.92) starts for the former Expos.
The Brewers won the season series 4-2.
Tomorrow we have the Rays visiting the Athletics. Charlie Morton (16-6, 3.05) starts for the Rays. The A’s haven’t announced a starter. Likely Mike Fiers (15-4, 3.90) or Sean Manaea (4-0, 1.21 in 5 starts).
Oakland won the season series 4-3.
Give us the winner of each game and the score (to be used as a tie breaker).
My guess?
I’m going Brewers 5-3.
And lets say A’s 6-2.
But I have no real idea.
And let’s ask who you are cheering for in the two games. I am going to cheer or the A’s, I have a fondness for them. I do think it is cool that the two teams at the bottom of the revenue heap are playing in the Wild Card game. And I’m going to cheer for the Brewers, as I can’t forgive Washington for taking my Expos away.
