Happy Thanksgiving.
Yeah, I know the day is tomorrow, but we are eating turkey tonight, so I’m considering today Thanksgiving. We are having supper with the whole family tonight. It is fun to have my boys together in the house again.
I’m thankful for a happy and healthy family. I have a wife that puts up with someone who, at very least, seems to put baseball above all and will go weeks at a time seemingly thinking of nothing else. She’s part saint I’m sure. I gave her an anniversary card, many years ago, saying I married her because she has adequate sports knowledge, which is only partly true. She has far better than adequate sports knowledge, but I’d likely have married her anyway. And I have three boys that make me proud and keep me laughing.
I’m thankful that I still get to play in this little sandbox. It has been more than 11 years now. Through good and bad baseball, this place makes things more fun. I’ll admit that the early off-season is about the hardest time because there is no news until the playoffs are over.
I’m thankful for everyone that comes by the site to read, and comment, or just lurk.
I’m thankful for our great writers on the site. I took more holidays this year than ever, so I left a bigger load for everyone else. That being said, we can always use more voices on the site. If you are interested in joining in, send me an email.
I am thankful for the Blue Jays. They have given me countless hours of enjoyment over the years. This year was a tough one but I enjoyed watching the young guys.
I’m thankful for friends that I’ve made from the site. One of the great things about being here is meeting people with a shared interest. I feel very lucky to have the friends I’ve made here.
Tell us what makes you thankful.
