Luke Maile signed a major league contract with the Pirates. He had been the longest tenured Blue Jay. Now it is Teoscar Hernandez.
Maile came to the Jays as a waiver pick up April 6 2017 from the Rays. In three seasons he hit .193/.257/.293 with 7 home runs in 258 games.
He seemed a likeable guy, and a reasonable enough backup catcher. I wish him the best in Pittsburgh.
And there has been another non-Blue Jays signing:
Avisail Garcia agrees to Brewers deal. 20M, 2 years
