The winner of the number 4 moment of the decade poll was Marco Estrada’s start in game five of the ALCS.
The Blue Jays were down 3 games to 1 and had lost game four 14-2, with R.A. Dickey and a bunch of relievers getting shelled. Cliff Pennington got the final out. It was a sad effort.
We needed a win in game five and Marco got it for us, pitching 7.2 innings of 3 hit ball, allowing just 1 run, with 1 walk and 5 strikeouts for a 73 GameScore. The only run he allowed was a Sal Perez home in the 8th inning.
Aaron Sanchez and Roberto Osuna finished out the game.
We scored 7 runs. Troy Tulowitzki drove in 3 runs and Jose Bautista earned of JoD.
But Marco was the story of the game. We needed a great start and he gave us one:
