The Blue Jays tell us that Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is out with a ‘left oblique strain’. They figure he will be out for three weeks, so the rest of spring training, including the games in Montreal.
Apparently it happened on Friday.
The good news is we won’t be talking about service time anymore. With the three weeks off, plus ‘rehab time’, he’ll won’t be up with the Jays until late April.
Get better quick Vlad.
It looks like we’ll see Brandon Drury play third for a little bit longer than we expected. Drury is having a good spring, hitting .381/.435/.762 with 2 home runs.
Vlad was hitting .211/.250/.531 in 19 at bats this spring.
