Tuesday Bantering and Open Thread for Spring Game

MLB: Toronto Blue Jays-Workouts Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

Not much for Blue Jays news this morning.

Julian Merryweather was optioned to minor league camp. I figured he would be starting the season on the 60-day DL, but maybe not.

And Dalton Pompey will be back in the lineup Wednesday or Thursday. I’m glad to hear it.

No word on Devon Travis

The game isn’t on TV again today. And, I’ll admit the fun of listening on radio is wearing thin on me.

No Randal Grichuk today again, he hasn’t played much, just 10 at bats this spring. I’m wondering if he’ll be ready to start the season.

Kevin Pillar plays today, he’s hitting .120/.214/.280 this spring. Of course he can hit .120 for three weeks and then hit .400 for the next three weeks. I do wonder if the Jays are shopping him. They have been talking up Pompey. Alford is having a great spring. Pillar is 30 now.
