Quick Recap: Good start for Sanchez

MLB: Spring Training-Tampa Bay Rays at Toronto Blue Jays Butch Dill-USA TODAY Sports

Rays 2 Blue Jays 1

Well, the win streak had to end sometime.

Aaron Sanchez had a very good start. 4 innings, 1 hit, 1 walk and 3 strikeouts. He hasn’t allowed a run yet this spring. He was perfect through 3 innings and then gave up an infield single to start the 4th. That runner was caught stealing by Danny Jansen. A Lourdes Gurriel error and a wall put two on, with one out, but Aaron got a ground and a strikeout to end the inning.

Other pitchers:

  • John Axford: 1 inning, 1 hit. 0.00 ERA.
  • Ken Giles: 1 inning, 2 k. 13.50 ERA.
  • Ryan Tepera: 1 inning, 2 hits, 2 earned. 7.20.
  • Thomas Pannone: 1 inning, 2 k. 8.10.
  • Sam Gaviglio: 1 inning, 2 k.
