We have two games today for the price of one. The one against the Yankees is on Sportsnet TV. The Orioles game is on radio.
There isn’t much for Jays news, unless you consider $5 beers news (but it is only Bud and Bud Lite for $5 and I wouldn’t drink that stuff if you paid me $5). Also the 50/50 prize for opening day is guaranteed to be half a million dollars. Not bad money.
And Charlie Montoyo has talked to Randal Grichuk about hitting leadoff. Apparently Randal is good with the idea. Sounds like it will be Billy McKinney or Grichuk most games. For those of us hoping Dalton makes the team, that doesn’t make his chances sound good.
Charlie says the toughest decision is the utility infielder choice between Sogard and Urena. Personally, I go with Urena without a second thought.
In the Yankees’ game Thomas Pannone makes the start against J.A. Happ. And no Tulo isn’t playing. Bo Bichette plays and hits leadoff.
In the Orioles game, Sam Gaviglio gets the start. Dalton Pompey hits leadoff in this one.
