MLB: Spring Training-Toronto Blue Jays at New York Yankees Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

So the roster is starting to take shape....slowly.

Trent Thornton will start in Ryan Borucki’s spot. An, they are saying that Ryan will likely miss his first two starts (though he played catch today). This will be Trent’s first time pitching in the majors.

Trent had a 4.80 ERA in 15 innings this spring. He’s allowed 13 hits, 1 home run, 5 walks and 16 strikeouts.

And Sam Gavilio has made the team. At the moment the bullpen includes Ken Giles, Daniel Hudson, Tim Mayza, Joe Biagini and Sam. I’m thinking Elvis Luciano gets a spot. So that leaves, most likely, two more spots. Bud Norris, Justin Shafer, Thomas Pannone and Jason Adams are all possibles. But there is a possibility of waiver claims.

Shi Davidi tells us that Vladimir Guerrero Jr. hitting in a cage. He’s ahead of schedule. I’m not surprised that he’s ahead of their time line. I’d imagine he’ll be ready to play when the team was planning to call him up.

And that Clay Buchholtz will throw 45 pitches tomorrow, and that Bud Norris has a bullpen tomorrow in Florida.

Tonight’s lineup, with Thomas Pannone starting:
