Yesterday saw an excellent near comeback by the Jays, the highlight of which was Rowdy Tellez’s first grandslam:

There are some important takeaways from our first interleague game though.
Of course, another big moment of the day was the emotional return of Kevin Pillar to Toronto. (im not crying, its the air con making my eyes itchy)
Thank you for everything, Superman

Unsurprisingly Kevin felt the love on his victorious return to Toronto.
And he is also still rooting for us to do well.
But apparently Pillar was demoralized by the direction the Jays franchise was headed under president Mark Shapiro and general manager Ross Atkins.
Apart from Pillar, how are the other ex-Jays faring so far this season?
In other Jays news:
When will Vladimir Guerrero Jr. arrive? Is Cavan Biggio worth calling up? What happens to our starting rotation now Shoemaker and Sanchez are injured? The answers to these questions can be found here.
And talking of Vlad, Kendrys Morales says he ‘expects a lot of great things from him’. (as do we all Kendrys).
Here is Marcus Stroman (along with Robbie Erlin and Tommy Hottovy) on how he learnt and developed his curveball.
Alejandro Kirk went 2-for-4, 2B, RBI for the A Lansing Lugnuts yesterday and in doing so has raised his average to .339. Kirk is making his full season debut this year after signing with the Jays in 2016 and spending the last 2 years in Rookie ball. Kirk has hits in 13 of the 15 games he’s played in and has reached base in all 15.
