The Blue Jays are welcoming old friend (foe?) Manny Machado and the Padres to town. It’s fun to get to see a team that the Jays don’t play often. I really wished this series would have happened in San Diego so I could have knocked that ballpark off my bucket list.
The team has decided to bless all of us still watching this season with something to be excited about, and today that comes in the form of Cavan Biggio’s major league debut. It’s the little things these days.
Here are today’s lineups. Biggio is playing 2nd and batting 8th in his debut, Gurriel gets a start in left field, and Danny Jansen will catch for Trent Thornton.
