I don’t want to dwell on our latest loss as it mean i would have to mention the team we were playing and their poxy stadium. But this was the only positive from yesterday:
"To see him just flying through centre field and fly like Superman to catch that ball, that’s the most spectacular play I’ve ever seen. Especially when I’ve been pitching.” On the kind of catch that changes games, which the #BlueJays didn't capitalize on: https://t.co/4jwhDem7b1

Ryan Tepera has had surgery to remove loose bodies. (I thought that’s what we did with the roster when we got rid of Brito and Hansen?).
Ryan Tepera announces he had surgery. Had been concern he'd need

to have loose bodies removed from his pitching elbow. Charlie Montoyo suggested the 4-6 week recovery period Nathan Eovaldi recently needed would be a relevant reference point for Tepera #BlueJays https://t.co/wiWU4sIHao
- Shi Davidi takes a first look at the Blue Jays’ Dunedin stadium renovations- still looks better than the Trop...
- Gregor Chisholm thinks the Jays might want to look at immediate impact in this year’s draft prospects.
- Ken Giles is back to full speed.
- Lourdes Gurriel Jr. hit another homer yesterday. He has an extra-base hit in all six of his games since being recalled from Buffalo on Friday and is hitting .471
- The Buffalo Bisons held the Syracuse Mets to just two hits and scored four times in the 8th to take the 6-4 victory. This miracle happened:
️You hit a mammoth 2-run homer in the eighth inning to give the #Bisons a win, you get a a bonus @BCBSWNY Fearless Play of the Game!

MLB bits
After yesterday’s horrible incident at the Astros v Cubs game Jeff Passan says MLB parks need full protective netting before it’s too late. I wholeheartedly agree.
Eric Wedge has a new job- and thankfully its far away from the Blue Jays....
Carlos Correa’s injury adds to the list of MLB’s weirdest.
Stat of the Day
After just two months of the season, Cody Bellinger is already ridiculous. Look at this:
224 PA, .383/.469/.761, 19 HR, 222 OPS+, 5.2 WAR
Bellinger leads MLB in all three triple-slash categories, and his MLB-best(by far) .504 xwOBA shows us it’s the real deal. And his 12 defensive runs saved as a right fielder put him one behind Lorenzo Cain for the lead among outfielders.
Plays of the Day
Communication is vital in the outfield.

And the A’s commit an evil trick on Angels
You used to be able to get away with that deke in MVP 2005
