Today, I’d like to thank the Toronto Blue Jays for grouping their roster moves together, and sending them out while I’m on my lunch break.
Our first roster move today is a total surprise which absolutely no one saw coming:
ROSTER MOVE: We've recalled RHP Justin Shafer from the @BuffaloBisons and placed RHP Elvis Luciano on the 10-day IL (right elbow sprain). pic.twitter.com/JsiuzscF09

It’s not the end of June yet, but 32% of BBB readers *predicted* Elvis may be on the IL around this time.

By the end of June, Elvis will be:

If activated by September 1st when rosters expand, Luciano will accrue the 90 days of MLB service time required to stay in the Blue Jays system and be optioned down next year.
Shafer has a 1.59 ERA in 22.2 innings pitched in AAA Buffalo. He has already been up with the Jays once so far this year, giving up 2 earned runs over 3.2 innings.
The Blue Jays also traded for swingman Nick Kingham, who was recently DFA’d by the Pirates.
OFFICIAL: We've acquired RHP Nick Kingham from the @Pirates in exchange for cash considerations.

To make room on our 40-man roster, RHP Ryan Tepera has been transferred to the 60-day IL. pic.twitter.com/qF7XPEkQT7
I like him already:
I’ll admit, I thought the NBA Playoffs without LeBron was bad for the game of basketball. But boy, am I glad I was wrong! Seeing what the Raptor’s have done is amazing. Best alternative you could ask for. #NBAFinals2019 #WeTheNorth

Kingham presently has a 9.87 ERA which *checks notes* is actually an improvement over Edwin Jackson. He has pitched 34.2 innings over 14 games this year, starting four. He has 32 strikeouts, has walked 17, and carries a WHIP of 2.048.
Kingham was a top 100 prospect on both Baseball America and Baseball Prospectus pre-2014 season.
Down in Buffalo, Bo Bichette is back in the lineup.
Look who’s back and leading off for the #Bisons today! Bo Bichette finished up four games in Dunedin and has now rejoined the Herd ahead of the finale in Indy. Join @PatWGR and @davepxp for all the action on ESPN 1520 AM! Pregame starts at 6:35, first pitch is at 7:05. pic.twitter.com/eQvYPuo4au
