The Blue Jays representative for the All-Star game will be Marcus Stroman. I’m glad for him, he’s earned the honor.
Marcus is 8th in the AL in bWAR, 9th in ERA and 7th in innings pitched. He’s been the lone bright spot in the Blue Jays rotation.
He seems happy:
Crazy. Shout to all the fans for the continued love always! ⭐️ #HDMH https://t.co/98IlCHpIdw

I thought that Eric Sogard or maybe Lourdes Gurriel had a chance It would have been nice for Sogard to get recognized for his great work this season.
Anyway congratulations to Marcus! Enjoy it!
And Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is going to be in the Home Run Derby. I really have no interest in the Home Run Derby, but I might tune in to watch Vlad swing, at least for one round.
There is a Canadian going to the game: Mike Soroka from Calgary. He went to school with my son (who, even though he isn’t in the MLB, I am proud of....or so my wife tells me).
Soroka is 9-1 with a 2.13 ERA in 14 starts with the Braves. He is second in the NL in ERA and 8th among pitchers in bWAR.
Congratulations Soroka! Enjoy the experience.
