Stop me if you’ve heard this before, but the Blue Jays are trying to prevent the sweep. After this series, the Jays won’t play a NL team again until the Dodgers in late August.
Here are today’s lineups. Eric Sogard gets a DH day (!), Gurriel bats 2nd and Vlad Jr has the day off.
Doubt the #BlueJays are benching Vlad in a punitive way. Mistakes happen and he's 20. At the same, Montoyo was understandably less than thrilled with Vlad's hustle out of the box & missed chance at third yesterday.
