Thomas Pannone has made it to Boston and has been added to the roster. To make room the Blue Jays have DFAed Nick Kingham.
Kingham pitched in 10 games for Jays. He had a 3.50 ERA in 18 innings, allowing 22 hits, 4 homers 7 walks with 12 strikeouts. He pitched a scoreless 2 innings yesterday, so today he’s shipped off. All-in-all, he was pretty ok for us.
Pannone has been up and down between Toronto and Buffalo a few times. For the Jays he was a 6.18 ERA in 24 games, 2 starts. His two starts haven’t exact gone well, he went 2.2 giving up 4 earned against Cleveland back in April and 2.1 innings giving up 7 earned against the Rangers in May. He pitched 4.1 innings as the, not starter, but guy that follows the opener (does that have a name?) on July 4 against the Red Sox. He gave up 4 earned in that game. In total he has 20 walks and 40 strikeouts in 39.1 innings.
Down in Buffalo he has a 1.66 ERA in 5 games, 4 starts.
Welcome back Thomas, hope you can stay awhile this time.
