Made it home. Had a very good time in Cooperstown and Toronto (with a stop at Buffalo for a Bison’s game).
It sounds like Marcus Stroman wasn’t exactly thrilled to be going to the Mets. I’ll admit I was surprised that the Mets wanted him, I figured they would be in rebuilding mode. And, of course, he could use a better infield than the Mets put out there. I can imagine Marcus thought he was going to a contender and ends up with a 5 games below .500.
I know there has been a lot of complaining about the trade, but I’m not hating it at the moment. We got someone who should be in the rotation next year and a guy who could be at the top of our rotation in a few years.
I do hate all the whispers about how Marcus was a crappy guy, crappy teammate. Seems like it is talking about someone behind his back when you bring it up after he’s gone.
I will mess watching him. He is a great reminder that baseball is entertainment.
It sounds like the dealing isn’t done:
#BlueJays GM Ross Atkins not planning on slowing down ahead of Wednesday’s Deadline: “We have some very successful pitching. There are still members of the Toronto Blue Jays that teams have a lot of interest in...I’m running out of sleep. I can’t imagine possibly being busier.”

Tonight’s lineup. Bo Bichette bats 6th and wears #11. Freddy Galvis moves over to second base. I’d much rather Biggio play there as much as possible, but I’m not going to complain too much about one game.
Bo Bichette will bat sixth in his MLB debut tonight. pic.twitter.com/x0BFR5TLJs
