Roster Moves: Davis Up, Pannone Down

MLB: Toronto Blue Jays at Tampa Bay Rays Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

Today’s Blue Jays roster move has Jonathan Davis coming up to the Jays and Thomas Pannone going back to Buffalo.

Davis is up because Lourdes Gurriel hurt his wrist on that terrific catch yesterday and will be day-to-day. And Randal Grichuk has a sore back and he’s also day-to-day. So we have an extra outfielder for the series with the Orioles.

As well, Marcus Stroman will not play in this series. And he’s pretty doubtful for the All-Star game. If he’s ruled out of the game, someone else will be added to the AL roster. And we’d be needing a new Blue Jays player going to the game.

Today’s lineup has a lot of players moved around Vlad into the 3 spot. Jansen up to the 5 spot. Tellez and Hernandez batting at the bottom of the order.
