We have another player injury update, and it’s not a good one:
Veteran reliever John Axford had elbow surgery Thursday to remove bone spurs. Surgery performed by Dr. James Andrews, same day as Borucki. He’s expected to be ready for spring training.

Here are this afternoon’s lineups. Lourdes Gurriel Jr has been placed on the IL, and Beef Stew is back up so the Jays will be rolling with a 2-man bench. Bichette gets a DH day, and Jansen will catch for Waguespack.
