So this is good news, I didn’t figure Nate would see Buffalo until next year:
#BlueJays RHP Nate Pearson (our No. 15 prospect) is getting the bump to Triple-A Buffalo. In 16 starts and 62.2 IP in Double-A, Pearson posted a 2.59 ERA with 69 strikeouts & 21 walks.

Nate made 6 starts in Dunedin, had a 0.86 ERA in 21 innings, just 10 hits, 2 homers, 3 walks and 35 strikeouts.
And 16 starts in New Hampshire as noted above.
He’s been off the 2 inning then 5 inning thing for the last few starts. In his last 5 starts he’s gone 28.1 innings. allowed 16 hits, 11 walks and 32 strikeouts with a 1.59 ERA.
There are only 16 starts left in the Bison’s season, so Nate will likely only get 3 starts, but that should get him around 100 innings for the season.
It will be interesting to see what happens next spring and next season. He’ll be very close and the Blue Jays have used 17 starts (well 12 starters and 5 openers) so far this season. It would be tough not to call him up at some point next year.
