We are getting the September callups in bits and drabs. Today Thomas Pannone got called up from Buffalo and Clayton Richard (remember him?) comes off the 10-day IL. We get a couple more lefties.
Pannone has been up and down a bunch this year. He has a 6.44 ERA in 30 games, 6 starts. He’s had good and bad moments. As a starter his ERA is 10.65. As a reliever 4.07. In Buffalo he had a 3.21 ERA in 33 innings.
Clayton Richard made 10 starts for us between May 23rd and July 13th. He had a 1-5 record and a 5.96 ERA. In 45.1 innings he allowed 53 hits, 18 walks and 22 strikeouts. He pitched a couple of innings in Buffalo. He’ll go into the mix of guys who can pitch a couple of innings in a game, as Charlie gets paid by the pitching change.
Today’s lineup. No Vlad, though since it is a NL game, he will likely get into the game at some point.
