Off Topic: What do you plan to do with the off-season?

I thought I’d ask how you plan to spend your time now watching Blue Jays baseball will not be filling your time?

It has been such a strange year. I’m going to have more time hand, because some of the things I did before COVID disappeared. I’m looking for new hobbies. Hobbies beyond Roger Hornsby’s “People ask me what I do in winter when there’s no baseball. I’ll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring.”

With the rise in the numbers of COVID locally, I’m not going to be going to the gym for awhile. As much as they are trying their best to make it as safe as possible, I think being in a place where people are breathing hard and are together in small locker rooms. Maybe I’m being too paranoid, but I don’t like how the numbers are looking.

A few years ago I was doing archery, once a week, and I was enjoying it, but life got busy and I stopped. Life isn’t as busy right now, I think I’ll pick it up again.

And I have several guitars gathering dust. I want to get back to playing them more. I’m going to see about playing with a friend and scratching the performance itch a little bit.

I saw an electronic drum set and I’m thinking of buying it and learning drums. I had a drum set and enjoyed it, but when I practiced, all my neighbors knew about it. So you really couldn’t play at night.

But beyond that....I’m needing suggestions for more hobbies. So let us know how you plan to fill your time.
