During a regular year, Friday afternoons meant that you could come here to Bluebird Banter to find a new episode of Around The Nest, a weekly live podcast featuring the voices of every single Blue Jays affiliate that has a broadcaster. But, 2020 was not a regular year, so we didn’t have a chance to check in on everyone since our May episode.

That is, until now! Last week, our Offseason Around The Nest show debuted with Jesse Goldberg-Strassler, the Voice of the Lansing Lugnuts, chatting with Ben Wagner, Around The Nest alumnus and Voice of the Toronto Blue Jays.

This week, Jesse returns with an episode featuring the Voice of the Buffalo Bisons / Blue Jays Sahlen Field PA Announcer Pat Malacaro, Tyler Murray of the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, the Dunedin Blue Jays’ Jim Tarabocchia, and a special appearance from Blue Jays prospect Zac Cook, who signed as a non-drafted free agent this summer.

Around The Nest will be back next week with an episode featuring recently retired Vancouver Canadians broadcaster Rob Fai in his farewell appearance and Bluefield Blue Jays’ final broadcaster Zach Helton. We’ll also have guest appearances from Evan Short, the Blue Jays’ player development analyst, and TSN’s Blue Jays beat reporter Scott Mitchell.
