Happy Monday. We have made it to the end of another month. That’s an accomplishment the way things are going this year.

There are rumors....I’ll admit I’m not the biggest fan of rumors, most of them turn out to be only in someone’s imagination and then moves are made that come out of nowhere. But, at the moment, all we have is rumors.

Shi Davidi tells us that the Blue Jays “have progressed beyond just talking” with George Springer. He doesn’t say that means that a deal is likely to happen in the near future.

There are still rumors they are talking to J.T. Realmuto which I don’t understand in the least but then that means it might be the most possible.

And there is this one:

It looks like the Jays really are wanting to improve their defense. I think that’s a good idea. LeMahieu doesn’t seem likely at all.

Eno Sarris, in the Athletic, has five ‘fake trades’ for Blake Snell. For the Jays he suggests The Blue Jays: OF Lourdes Gurriel Jr., SP Simeon Woods Richardson, C Alejandro Kirk. If that is the cost, count me out. I’d like to have Snell but no way would I be willing to give up those four guys for him.

Kris Bryant is likely to be traded this winter, I’d imagine that the Blue Jays will be interested. And Lance Lynn is apparently being auctioned off. He would look nice in our rotation.

Lindor rumors seem to have quieted some.

Jon Morosi tells us that Springer has “given a lot of thought to playing in Toronto”. He doesn’t say if Springer breaks into a cold sweat when he thinks about it, but it sounds like it could possibly happen. He also thinks that Michael Brantley’s bat would work well in the Jays batting order.

It is Chase Anderson’s 33rd birthday. Anderson is a free agent at the moment, after the Jays declined his option for next year.

Use the thread to discuss any rumors you hear.
