Hyun-Jin Ryu gets his first action in a Blue Jays uniform. Unfortunately it isn’t on TV so we aren’t going to get to see him.
Today’s lineup:
Use this as an open thread for the game.
Scott Mitchell, at TSN, gives his feeling on how the roster is likely to turn out. He’s feeling that Joe Panik is likely to win the utility infielder, and perhaps Brandon Drury won’t be making the team. With Travis Shaw able to play third and the possibility that Lourdes Gurriel can play first (and other infield spots in a pinch) one we might not need two utility guys. I kind of like Santiago Espinal, I’d love him to make the team.
He also figures that both Alford and Fisher will make the team. The way the pair of them are playing at the moment, I’m not that confident.
He has Thornton winning the 5th starter job, which (at them moment) seems an easy one. And a bullpen of Giles, Dolis, Bass, Yamaguchi, Gaviglio, Font, Cole and Pannone. That works for me, but a lot can change between now and the start of the season.
Old friend alert:
Dalton Pompey is now with the Arizona Diamondbacks. Here's hoping the change of scenery does him good.

I can only hope the best for him.
