Tonight at 8:00 Eastern Sportsnet is replaying Game 6 of the 1992 ALCS, A’s at Blue Jays.

I won’t give away the ending, though I’m sure most of you know.

I’m looking forward to watch Juan Guzman pitch again. He was terrific in that game (spoiler Tom). Guzman went 16-5 that season with a 2.64 ERA. In 180.2 inning he allowed 135 hits, 72 walks and 194 strikeouts. He walked more guys than you would like, but when he was good, he was as good as there was. He made the All-Star team that year.

Mike Moore got the start for the A’s. He was 17-12 for the A’s that year, with a 4.12 ERA. in 223 innings he allowed 229 hits, 103 walks and 117 strikeouts. Not exactly the strikeout to walk rate you would like to see. He was 32 in 1992, and it was his last season with an ERA under 5.
