Tonight at 7 pm Eastern, the Toronto Blue Jays’ single-A affiliate Lansing Lugnuts will not be facing the West Michigan Whitecaps, the affiliate of the Detroit Tigers—but there will be a broadcast of a simulated game between the two teams.
To celebrate Minor League Baseball’s “Opening Day at Home” event tonight, the radio broadcasters of the two Midwest League rivals will be bringing the sound of summer to your home by calling a dice-simulated game of baseball.
In our dice-simulated universe, the Lugnuts will be batting first in their road greys and the Whitecaps will be batting the bottom half of innings in their home whites. Lansing broadcasters Jesse Goldberg-Strassler and Adam Jaksa will call the top half of innings, while West Michigan’s Dan Hasty and Mike Coleman will provide the play-by-play and colour in the bottom halves.
