Poll Time: Least Favorite MLB Commissioner

MLB: MLB: Baseball Hall of Fame-Induction Ceremony
And the blind led us.
Gregory Fisher-USA TODAY Sports

We did ‘your favorite commissioner’, so lets do the other end.

Kenesaw Mountain Landis won out on the favorites. I guess he has the best name and got the best press. Bart Giamatti and Fay Vincent were a close second and third. They seemed to be the end of the short ‘baseball fan as commissioner’ run. After that we got business men and lackeys for the owners. I’m surprised at the 13% that voted for Bud Selig. He’s he has always been my least favorite.

Then, this morning, SB Nation Reacts (formerly fanpulse) had the question ‘who was worse Bud Selig or Rob Manfred?’ and I stared at it for two minutes. There wasn’t an option for tied.

Peter Ueberroth was an interesting guy. He seemed to be younger and more interesting than Bowie Kuhn, but then he ushered in the collusion scandal that was really just stupid, trying to protect the owners from themselves.
