There have been some bits of sim Blue Jays minor league news:

  • Yennsy Diaz has come off the IL. He was on the 60-day IL is a right lat sprain (in real life). He’s on a rehab assignment at the moment in the sim world.
  • Jordan Groshans went on the IL with a ‘viral infection’. He is on Vancouver’s roster.
  • Elvis Luciano was recently promoted to New Hampshire, but he’s been sent back to Dunedin.

Blue Jays 4 Tigers 10

The sim Jays really need Hyun-Jin Ryu back. Shun Yamaguchi had a rough start. Shun went 4.2 innings, allowed 7 hits, 5 earned 3 walks with 5 strikeouts. He gave up two home runs, a 2-run homer from Jeimer Candelario and a solo home run from Pedro Severino. He also allowed a 2-run triple off the bat of Niko Goodrum.

The Tigers also got a run off Wilmer Font and a run off Dany Jimenez, then 3 more off Jordan Romano.

We only managed 5 hits on offense. Former Blue Jays pitcher Matt Boyd went 7 innings allowing just 4 hits and 3 earned.

Cavan Biggio had 2 of our 5 hits, including a home run. He’s still hitting under .200. Rowdy Tellez hit our other home run. The pair had 2 RBI each.

Vlad went hitless. He’s hitting just .261/.355/.414 with 10 home runs in our sim season.

Bo Bichette is doing much better hitting .287/.353/559 with 19 home runs.

Shun gets the Suckage award.

The Jays drop to 41-29, still in first, but just a game up on the Yankees.

The Jays have Nate Pearson (5-3, 3.34 in 14 starts) pitching in game 2 against the Tigers. Tigers have Jordan Zimmerman (4-6, 6.58 in 12 starts) going. We should get a few more hits.

Another 5 games in, let’s have the players stats:
