NL All-Stars 6 AL All-Stars 2
A win for the NL. Four Jays appeared in the game:
Nate Pearson pitched the second inning and gave up a J.T. Realmuto home run. He also got a strikeout. It is kind of nice to think that Pearson could have been an All Star this year.
Ken Giles came in with 2 out and 1 on in the ninth and got the out.
Lourdes Gurriel started at DH, batting ninth. He went 1 for 2.
Bo Bichette took over at DH and went 0 for 1 with a walk.
The scoring:
NL second inning, 1 run: Realmuto’s solo homer off Pearson. Nate got a strikeouts, ground out and fly out as well.
AL second inning, 2 runs: Against Steven Matz: Yasmani Grandal took a 1-out walk and Aaron Judge followed with a home run. That was all the scoring for the NL.
NL fourth inning, 1 run: Against T.J. McFarland: Ketel Marte bunted for a base hit. Mookie Betts singled to put runners on the corners. Christian Yelich hit a sac fly.
NL fifth inning, 3 runs: Against Jose Leclerc: Kris Bryant and JeffMcNeil were both hit by pitch to start the inning. After a Victor Robles strikeout, Corey Seager doubled home one. Ketel Marte hit a sac fly. A Ronald Acuna single scored Seager.
NL eighth inning, 1 run: Against Liam Hendriks: Charlie Blackmon tripled, leading off, and scored on Manny Machado’s ground out.
