Let’s just leave this in the order that I saw it:
I should wait for a couple more confirmations before posting this but it is being reported that the Blue Jays will be playing their home games in Rogers Centre.
BREAKING: @MacLeodLisa tells @TSN1200:
— Ian Mendes (@ian_mendes) July 16, 2020
The Blue Jays have been given government clearance to play home games at Rogers Centre this summer.
But she cautions, "If the rules are not followed, we will rescind the plan."
For the Blue Jays, I think it is the right choice. For the city of Toronto, I’m not so sure.
Can confirm @TSN1200 report from @MacLeodLisa that #BlueJays have received government clearance to play home games at Rogers Centre this summer.

Ok maybe hold on a bit:
#BlueJays say at this point a final decision has not been made on where they will play their home games, despite @MacLeodLisa saying they have been given clearance.
— Scott Mitchell (@ScottyMitchTSN) July 16, 2020
I’m not saying it’s not happening, but I’d sit tight on this one for a bit.
I think it is all semantics at this point, if they have been given permission, I’m sure they would play in Toronto.
While a #Bluejays source says it's encouraging that @MacLeodLisa is saying the club has been given clearance to play games at the Rogers Centre, a final decision has yet to be made.

I am guessing they want to make an announcement, so they are saying there hasn’t been a decision made yet.
Seems like things are still up in the air regarding where the #BlueJays will play regular season games this year. Hope continues to be Toronto but source says team hasn’t received the necessary written approvals from government and public health

Ok, who knows, I should just delete all this. I’m going to say that many the Ontario government has said yes and the federal government hasn’t.
I’m going to agree with Shi for the moment, but then I’ll agree with the next tweet too. I’m thinking that permissions are there, but some official announcement will be made.
At this point, I'm told the #BlueJays have not yet received the necessary written approvals from government and public health. Minister MacLeod's comments indicate they are coming. https://t.co/BJFtsNYfos
