Saturday Bantering: Gabriel Moreno added to 60-man roster

MLB: Miami Marlins at Toronto Blue Jays Timothy T. Ludwig-USA TODAY Sports

The Blue Jays have added 20-year-old catcher Gabriel Moreno to the 60-man player pool. He’ll be at the ‘alternate site’. I can’t imagine he’ll get any playing time, but he’ll get to work with the coaches at Rochester.

Last year Gabriel hit .280/.337/.485 in 82 games at Lansing. He was #6 on our 40-man prospect list this year.

The Reds and Pirates games this weekend have been postponed. A Reds player tested positive.

Nationals pitcher Stephen Strasburg is going on the IL with carpal tunnel neuritis of the right hand. That’s what happens when you swear at umpires from the stands.

Not to be political or anything, but I ordered a Calgary Cannons cap my son wanted for his birthday, from the MILB websire, and, of course, it is stuck in the US postal service. The one part of the economy that is doing well is mail order and the business man president wants to shut down the post office. I’m worried about the Breaking T shirt I ordered the other day. I’d like to wear it while Bo is still an MLB player.
