The Blue Jays and Red Sox are talking/debating on whether they will play today. We should get word soon.
Virtually as soon as I hit post:
Source: the Red Sox have decided not to play tonight.

Little to know chance it was going to be played anyway:

Meanwhile the Pirates have claimed Anthony Alford off waivers. I’m hoping they give him a good chance to show what he can do. The Pirates are 7-19, so they might as well play him everyday and see what he can do.
It is looking like they might not play tonight no matter what the players vote:
Torrential rains in downtown Buffalo right now. Howling in with the wind off of Lake Erie. May not need a protest to Ppd tonight’s game. .

Reds and Brewers, Athletics and Rangers, Twins and Tigers and Dodgers and Giants are all ‘postponed’ tonight. I’m fine with the players voting not to play. I think our ‘right to watch’ comes after the players right not to play.
