According to Rob Longley of the Sun, and confirmed by Ken Rosenthal of the Athletic, the Blue Just have acquired left handed starting pitcher Robbie Ray from the Diamondbacks. Per Shi Davidi, Travis Bergen will be sent to the Diamondbacks.
Big strikeout lefty (43 Ks in 31 ip this season) who has had MAJOR control problems (31 walks in 31 ip this season).

Was pretty good last season, though. Hopefully #Bluejays have found a quick fix to get him to stop walking people. https://t.co/iS7SdI18xP
Robbie Ray has always been one of those guys that the peripherals have liked despite him being unable to put it all together.

Not really the case in 2020 with his 20.1% walk rate, but even just last year he had a 31.5 K% and a 11.2 BB%.
Robbie Ray has a 7.84 ERA over his seven starts this season, but he has some...interesting peripherals.

EDIT 1: Here are the financial details:
Ray's earning $9.43 million this year – well, $9.43 million pro-rated. That's about $1.57 million per month. If Arizona is sending $300K, then #BlueJays are adding about $1.27 million in this deal. https://t.co/z3SLlayILi
