After four *long* days without Blue Jays baseball, our team finally gets to play again.
We have some roster size news:
Union telling players that roster size will reduce to from 30 and 28 on Thursday and remain at that level for the rest of the season and postseason, source tells The Athletic. Taxi squad will be expanded from three players to five players for remainder of the season.

We also have an injury update:
Chase Anderson (oblique) continues progressing well. At this point the #BlueJays haven't determined how exactly he'll rejoin the staff. Possible he'd fit into rotation, but Charlie Montoyo didn't rule out the possibility of Anderson pitching in relief.

It feels like the Jays have an overabundance of starters this year, one year after Edwin Jackson was starting because they “had no one else”.
Here are today’s lineups. Teoscar moves up (as he should, to give him the maximum amount of opportunities for tehomers), Anthony Alford gets a start (!), and Grichuk is back in center.
#BlueJays manager Charlie Montoyo said moving Teoscar Hernandez up to 3rd in the lineup was more about getting him more at bats rather than moving Vladimir Guerrero Jr. down in the lineup.

We are glad you are here, and hope you feel welcome. As a reminder, we have rules. Mostly it's "don't be terrible," but these days it's also, "please debate about baseball and not the coronavirus." If a moderator asks you to stop doing something, please stop. If you want to discuss the rules, don't do it in the thread. Email Tom instead. We also have a BBB Glossary full of GameThread lingo you can find here.
