Jays roster moves: Hernandez activated

The Blue Jays made a handful of roster moves before tonight’s game:

• Teoscar Hernandez has been activated from the IL.
• Ken Giles has been put back on the IL, he felt something in his elbow last night. His season is done. We likely won’t see him in a Jays uniform again..
• Derek Fisher goes on the IL, he got hit with a Matt Shoemaker pitch in batting practice (Taijuan Walker was seen giving Matt a wad of cash just afterwards).
• Anthony Kay got optioned out. We figured that was coming, I thought Shun might too, but with Giles going on the IL, we didn’t need to send him out.
• Jacob Waguespack and Hector Perez get called up.

I was really hoping for Patrick Murphy.

Apparently it is a knee injury for Fisher.

Teoscar isn’t expected to play today and likely not tomorrow, maybe a pinch hit role, but it will be a couple of days before he plays a game.
