This shortened season has been very rough on pitchers. When pitchers head to spring training in early February in the future, I won’t be wondering why.
Ken Giles is going to have Tommy John surgery. He’ll miss all of next season, which is just the way he’d want to go into free agency. I do feel sorry for the guy, he was looking at a pretty good pay day if this season went well. Now, no pay next year and a ‘prove you can pitch’ contract the year after.
Giles turned 30 yesterday.
