Today, the Jays will be playing for the series win, and the assuredness that they finish this series as the sole team in second place. The starting pitcher on the other end is old friend JA Happ, but all is fair in love and baseball, right?
We have some injury updates:
Ken Giles had his live BP today and it went well. Team will see how he feels then go from there. I believe he’s eligible to return from the IL Sept. 10.

Here are today’s lineups. Panik starts at third, Espinal gets another start at short and Rowdy and Jonathan Davis gets a start in right field.

We are glad you are here, and hope you feel welcome. As a reminder, we have rules. Mostly it's "don't be terrible," but these days it's also, "please debate about baseball and not the coronavirus." If a moderator asks you to stop doing something, please stop. If you want to discuss the rules, don't do it in the thread. Email Tom instead. We also have a BBB Glossary full of GameThread lingo you can find here.
