Another off the board.
Liam Hendriks signed with the White Sox. They are going to be a good team this year. Liam is getting $54 million over three years, with a club option.
Liam Hendriks has been DFAed four times in his career (2013, 2014 x 2, 2018) and now he's going to get PAID. I am very happy for him.

I think what Minor Leaguer is saying is that there is hope for all of us. So work on your four-seamer.
Looks like the contract is an interesting one, I have the numbers wrong above:
The details on Liam Hendriks' fascinating deal with the Chicago White Sox:

It is a three-year deal that will pay Hendriks $39M in those first three years. But both the buyout and fourth-year option salary are $15M, so Hendriks will receive $54M regardless of what White Sox do.
I think his agent deserves a raise.
It is kind of interesting, he would be better off if they declined his option after the third year. I can’t understand making the buyout the same as his salary. He gets $54 million for three years or $54 million for four years. No real incentive for declining his option.
It still seems like a lot of money for a reliever. Especially one who will be 32 in a month’s time.
