OpenThread for AL Wild Card Game

Minnesota Twins v Boston Red Sox
I think they have to go further out to make Boston look good.

I’m figuring I’ll be watching the game at the gym. I’m not that excited about watching my two least favorite teams play in a game I was hoping my favorite team would win.

Tonight’s lineups:

Today's Lineups

YANKEES RED SOX
Anthony Rizzo - 1B Kyle Schwarber - DH
Aaron Judge - RF Enrique Hernandez - CF
Giancarlo Stanton - DH Rafael Devers - 3B
Joey Gallo - LF Xander Bogaerts - SS
Gleyber Torres - 2B Alex Verdugo - LF
Brett Gardner - CF Hunter Renfroe - RF
Gio Urshela - 3B Kevin Plawecki - C
Kyle Higashioka - C Bobby Dalbec - 1B
Andrew Velazquez - SS Christian Arroyo - 2B
Gerrit Cole - RHP Nathan Eovaldi - RHP

I didn’t watch all that many Yankees’ games this year. So how often did Rizzo lead off? Oh right, I can look that up. He hit in the leadoff spot five times this season.

Both teams are missing a star:

  • DJ LeMahieu is out with a sports hernia.
  • J.D. Martinez is out with an ankle injury.

One of the best parts about living in the west is that 8:00 starts are 6:00 starts. I don’t have to be up past midnight to watch the end of the game. I plan to watch some at the gym and then enjoy a beer watching the rest of the game.
