Near the end of each season, we do a Haiku contest. And, since I’m going computer shopping today, why not do it now, while I’m out. My laptop is several years old, and the e key is sticking, slowing my already slow typing speed by half. And....I want something new and fast.
The rules are: come up with a Haiku that says something about the Blue Jays.
Not that you need it, but the rules on a haiku it is a three-line poem with seventeen syllables, written in a 5/7/5 syllable count
Rec the ones you like, and in a week or so, we’ll take the five that get the most recs and vote on which is best.
The winner gets...... nothing, except for the warm fuzzy feeling that comes from being the poet laureate for Bluebird Banter.
Make it relate somewhat towards to Jays, nothing too nasty, but have fun with it.
Something like this:
George Springer, injured
Played so little.
Player of the week three times.
or
Blue Jays, so fun, so
Good. Needed just one more win.
Baseball Gods are cruel.
But, you know, better than that.
