The 2021 Blue Jays ZiPS projections are out. Over the next few weeks, we’ll put up a series of over/under polls, using the batter’s OPS and the pitcher’s ERA as predicted by ZiPS.
Randal Grichuk is likely looking at less playing time this year, presuming he makes it through spring training still a Blue Jay. ZiPS figures him for a .790 OPS. They have him getting 31 home runs in 563 PA. I’d take the under on the PA, but ZiPS doesn’t look to see what a player’s usage might be.
Randal had a .793 OPS last year and .738 in 2019.
