The 2021 Blue Jays ZiPS projections are out. Over the next few weeks, we’ll put up a series of over/under polls, using the batter’s OPS and the pitcher’s ERA as predicted by ZiPS.
Marcus Semien was projected to have a .775 OPS by ZiPS. Of course, that was as an Athletic. ZiPS might bump that up a bit with him leaving RingCentral Coliseum. Of course, since we don’t know where the Blue Jays will be playing their home games, park factors won’t be known. Marcus had a .679 OPS in the shortened 2020 season (he was much better in the playoffs). In 2019 he had a .892 OPS. They also see him hitting 23 home runs. I’d be pretty happy with that.
